Wambach, DD <br /> c/o Transportation, District #1 <br /> 2101 Wright St. <br /> Madison, Wisconsin 53704 <br /> Dear Mr. Wambach: <br /> As the owner of the 43 acre parcel in the corner of Hwy. 12 & 18 <br /> and CTH AB, in Section 30 of Cottage Grove Twp. , we request a <br /> legal 'Rite of Way' , off of Hwy. 12 & 18 for a driveway, instead of <br /> the present field access road. <br /> Originally we owned 97 acres. When 12 & 18 relocated, it split our <br /> farm and left 43 acres south of the highway and 33 acres north of <br /> the highway, which we recently sold,via land contract to John <br /> O'Donnell (Feed 0 Matic). That contract has expired, and to date <br /> we have not been paid. <br /> Since 12 & 18 went thru, there has been considerable water problems <br /> from the corner all the way back to the building site. We would <br /> like to relocate the house, by building on the hill. The gentleman <br /> who did the perc test said this is some of the best percable land <br /> in Dane County, being over 200' deep. <br /> We are requesting that the field access road rite, be made a legal <br /> access rite. Financially this would make it possible for us to <br /> build. If we had to go off of CTH AB, we would have to have about <br /> 5 times as-long a driveway, with a very excessive amount of costly <br /> fill. Also where the present access is, you can see a great dis- <br /> tance either East or West, so this would not be a hinderance to <br /> Hwy 12 & 18. Presently the Hwy.
