' ^
The building of a hangar is in direct contradiction to Mr.
Weiman `s initial proposal to use the proposed airstrip for
occasional maintenance of his aircraft and lends an air of
permanence to the airstrip. In prior conversations with Mr.
Weiman, we may have indicated no objections to his keeping the
aircraft at the proposed airstrip for short periods of time.
However, at no time did we agree to the permanent storage of his
aircraft there.
The enclosed petition lists area residents who concur with our
position. In addition to the above objections, several area
residents signing this petition have indicated that they
purchased property here due to the tranquility of the area. They
are concerned that the proposed airstrip and resulting air
traffic may affect their insurance rates and the resale value of
their property and may disturb their livestock.
In conclusion, we feel Mr. Weiman has been less than candid in
communicating the intended purpose and use of the proposed
airstrip. In light of this, and the continual changing of his
expressed purpose, we withdraw our previous approval of the
conditional use permit with the specified restrictions and now
urge that this conditional use permit be totally denied.
Sincerely,
Richard L.
