While the plan doesn't specifically <br /> address multifamily, the purpose stated Is low density. <br /> Generally multifamily housing Is not advisable on septic tank <br /> soil absorption systems. The soils here are rated severe for <br /> septic systems, and the lot Is 0.3 acres. <br /> The minimum anywhere In Dane County for a single family home Is <br /> 1/2 acre, and most lots are larger than that for single family <br /> homes. <br /> Thus, with a small lot and severe limitations on soils, anything <br /> more than single family use on the site appears inappropriate. <br /> Supplemental Comments: <br /> While there is sympathy for trying to reuse an old building, <br /> higher density residential does not appear advisable where there <br /> is no plan for ever providing urban services. <br /> TLS:mml <br /> RPC <br />
