April 4, 2009
To: Town of Burke
From: Tom.Schultz
Subject: 6318 Portage Rd
I am writing to file a complaint regarding the property at 6318 Portage Rd, De Forest WI,
in the Town of Burke. For several years the owner has compiled endless amounts of
garbage and useless items outside his property. This has become visual pollution to all
the neighbors and blight in general to the entire Token Creek area. Neighbors have to
experience this daily along with commuters and visitors. My property at 3807 Hwy 19 is
adjacent to this mess, and is a negative reflection to my business as well as a daily
aggravation. The owner has been residing and reroofing his house for the last three
years... but never completes the job. I'm sure building permits have been issued... don't
these need to be finalized in a timely manner? In addition to the visual mess, there should
be concern for residents with children, as many times we have spotted rats crawling in
and out of this self-made dump.
This is indeed a negative reflection for the Town Of Burke and to Dane County. I hope
someone from your office or Dane County will take the time to view this property and
it's nasty effects on the overall good of our community.
Thanks for your consideration to this issue.
Sincerely,
Tom Schultz
3807 Hwy 19
Sun Prairie, WI. 53590
608-846-7368
