County of Dane
Zoning Department
March 6 , 1984
Page Four
4. Insuring that the entire site has been
restored to its natural productive condition and
in conformity with the wishes of the Town of Blue
Mounds and the land owner, Emery G. Fink.
The existing site does not possess any special land
formations or areas of unique natural beauty. Wingra Stone
Company will attempt to preserve the original character of farm
land so far as possible. No air pollution, water pollution or
noise pollution is expected to be created by its limestone
quarring operations. The existing land use drainage will not be
impaired by the quarring operations . Furthermore, the quarring
operations will not impede or affect traffic moving on State
Highway 78 or U. S. Highways 18 & 151.
IV. SITE PLAN MAP
A Site Plan Map of the existing and proposed limestone
quarring site is attached hereto. The Site Map is drawn to scale
on an aerial photograph of the site as of March 2 , 1984 . The
Site Plan Map shows the existing quarrying operations and access
road. In addition, the Site Plan Map shows the proposed location
of a truck scale and the earth-berm screening along the western
edge of the site. Due to the natural topigraphic features of
this site, much of the quarrying operation will not be visible
from State Highway 78 or U. S. Highways 18 & 151.
A copy of this application together with the Site Plan
Map will be transmitted to the Town of Blue Mounds for their
review and approval. In addition, Wingra Stone Company, Inc.
will contact the Dane County Environmental Health Department
about the proposed method of sewage or waste disposal at the
site. Wingra Stone Company will not have any employees at the
site except on a temporary day-to-day basis. Wingra Stone anti-
cipates the use of a portable, self-contained privy at the site
to take care of any sewage or waste disposal.
Sincerely,
WHIPP E & • i1 HWELL, S.C.
fl 'III G
GLS:mn
Enclosure
File No. 96-109
