• <br /> County of Dane <br /> Zoning Department <br /> March 6, 1984 <br /> Page Three <br /> The site is currently comprised of two-thirds agri- <br /> cultural land and one-third limestone quarry. After the site has <br /> been fully exhausted, the land will be reclaimed as farm land. <br /> As can be seen by the attached Site Plan Map, there are <br /> no residences within 600 feet of the proposed limestone quarry <br /> site. Furthermore, there are no lakes, rivers or streams located <br /> near or around the proposed limestone quarry site. There is <br /> natural farm drainage at the site. An existing access road links <br /> the proposed limestone quarry site with State Highway 78 . No <br /> limestone quarrying operations will be conducted near State <br /> Highway 78. Wingra Sonte Company does not propose to add any <br /> additional roadways or driveways to the site. There is already <br /> existing parking and loading facilities at the limestone quarry. <br /> (See attached Site Plan Map) . <br /> III. RECLAMATION OF SITE <br /> After Wingra Stone Company has exhausted the limestone <br /> quarry operation, Wingra Stone Company intends to fully reclaim <br /> the site and return it to its natural condition as agricultural <br /> land. A reclamation map will be presented to the Dane County <br /> Zoning Committee and the Town Board of Blue Mounds prior to the <br /> public hearing in this matter. The reclamation plan will meet <br /> the following zoning ordinance requirements. <br /> 1. Contouring the slopes of the limestone <br /> quarry operation not to exceed a ratio of 3/2/1 <br /> and insuring that all slopes are at a safe angle <br /> of repose; <br /> 2 . Covering the final graded slopes and pit <br /> areas with from the top soil saved during the <br /> development of the site in the earthern berms. The <br /> top soil will be seeded or planted as is necessary <br /> to return the land to its original state and to <br /> prevent any erosion of the top soil; <br /> 3. Removal of all debris and equipment from <br /> the quarrying site and the premises in general; <br />
