Where space permits a 36 inch minimum grab bar shall be provided and be offset to the transfer side of the water closet. • ICC/ANSI A117.1 Sec.904.3-Sales and service counters required to be accessible shall be located adjacent to a walking surface and shall have a counter 36 inches maximum above the floor,with a 36 inch minimum length for a parallel approach,or 30 inch minimum length for a forward approach. • ICC/ANSI A117.1 Sec.604.5 Grab bars shall be located on a side wall that is 16 to 18 inches from the centerline of the water closet and on the wall behind the water closet,unless meeting an exception to this section. These grab bars shall comply with Section 604.5.1 and 604.5.2. • Comm 62.1101(2)/ANSI A117.1 602,305,306&309-Provide required accessible drinking fountains and water coolers with the required clear floor space,heights and controls. • ICC/ANSI A117.1 Sec.606.6-Pipe protection shall be provided under lavatories and sinks for the drain and water pipes or otherwise be configured to protect against contact. There shall be no sharp or abrasive surfaces under lavatories or sinks.
