FW: Revised Erosion Control Plan - Lynch Residence Page 1 of 2
Schutte, Kristine
From: Schutte, Kristine
Sent: Wednesday, September 03, 2008 10:08 AM
To: Balousek, Jeremy
Cc: 'Andrew Braman-Wanek'; John Sveum; Dennis Lynch; Nancy Lynch
Subject: RE: Revised Erosion Control Plan - Lynch Residence
Hi Jeremy,
I'm forwarding this email to you, with additional comments about a new Zoning Permit 2008-0631 that I issued to
Yahara Builders today, for additions and alterations to the existing Dennis Lynch home at 2962 Waubesa
Avenue. The Lynches needed variances from minimum lot width and area in the Shoreland district, which were
granted by the Board of Adjustment on July 24, 2008. The variances as granted included a Condition requested
by the Town of Dunn that"the owners keep surface water run-off from this property off the adjacent properties."
I see that SE2008-0180 was issued for this project on 08/11/2008, with a stabilization date of September 12,
2008. It appears the owners or agent will need to renew the SE permit to account for a later stabilization date. The
project architect, Andy Braman-Wanek of GinkgoHouse Architects, sent me the attached
revised Erosion Control Plan. It appears to show a berm along the southerly lot line between the street and the
existing house, apparently intended to keep runoff away from the lot to the south. However, the revised plan
(which shows a date of 7-11-08, but no"revision" date) does not show a proposed new entry porch in the same
location as the existing "Planter Stoop."
I left Andy a voicemail message saying that the new 11'x14' (more or less) entry porch needs to be included on
the Erosion Control Plan. Also, it appears that ending the berm at the location of the new porch may serve to
direct runoff onto the lot to the south. Could you please review the plan for control of run-off onto the two adjacent
lots, please -- particularly the lot to the south?
Please call if you have questions about this. I'd appreciate any assistance you can offer.
