Ralph T. Gannett
Page 2
- The original recommendation to the local board from their
Land Use Committee, after true analysis was against the
rezoning to c2 and stated community incompatibility
and potential hazzards among the reasons.
- Interview with several near current neighbors of the business
indicate running a large horsepower sandblast operation
at odd hours with tremendous noise consequences. This was
brought out at the town board meeting along with the in-
tent of the operator to continue doing the blasting out
doors.
- The business is incompatible with long term growth of the
surrounding area which should support homes, multi family
dwellings and potentially small businesses. Light commercial
opportunities could well exist in the section between the
road and tracks without creating the traffic hazzards that
the proposed truck shop does.
I do hope that these points and the concern for our community
potential will prevail. I am for orderly growth and do infact
want to see business in the area, however growth should be
guided along lines of compatibility and strong future
planning for interactive structuring of residences and job
opportunities without stressing the ability of the services
needed to support growth in the area.
Sincerely, 5 s',
rt
Ralph T. Gannett
