Y
id , i , ``, Land Conservation Division
, s Dane County Land &Water Resources Department
?CO21gd Patrick J.Sutter,County Conservationist
DATE: April 15, 2008
TO: William Clemens
Owner
FROM: Jeremy Balousek, P.E.
Urban Conservation Engineer
RE: Mad-City Power Sports—Shoreland Erosion Control and Stormwater
Management Plan,SS2008-0032
The submitted shoreland erosion control and stormwater management plan meets the needs of
the site. The plan includes the following requirements:
1. The site may only be accessed off Daentl Road using stone tracking pads. The pads must
be a minimum of 50' long x 24' wide x 12" deep and be constructed of 3-inch clear
stone. No other site access may be used and material deposited in the road will be
cleaned up throughout and at the end of each workday.
2. Silt fence must be installed prior to grading in the locations shown on the plan and where
deemed necessary, including the down slope of all soil stockpiles. The silt fence must be
maintained until the site is vegetated and stabilized.
3. Stone check dams must be installed in the locations identified in the plan prior to other
grading. Sediment must be removed from the upslope side of the check dams once it
reaches '/z the their height. The check dams may be removed once vegetation has been
established.
4. Inlet filter bags (WisDOT Type D or equivalent)must protect the stormwater inlets
receiving runoff from disturbed areas. Filter fabric under the grate is not an acceptable
method of protection.
5. Culvert and pipe outfalls will be protected by rock riprap. The riprap will be installed
such that it forms a"bowl"with a depth of at least 12-inches to dissipate runoff energy.
6. Two stormwater basins must be constructed according to the submitted plan prior to
other grading. As the basins will be utilized to remove sediment from runoff during
construction, sediment must be periodically excavated to maintain trapping efficiency.
Lyman F.Anderson Agriculture&Conservation Center
1 Fen Oak Court,Room 208,Madison,Wisconsin 53718-8812-PH:608/224-3730,FAX:608/224-3745
www.countyofdane.com/landconservation
