• <br /> TOWN OF COTTAGE GROVE <br /> BM871005 <br /> October 5, 198LOTTtWE GROVE WCONSIN 53527 <br /> The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Eugene <br /> Skaar at 8 :00 P.M. All members were present. The minutes of <br /> the last regular meeting were read. The minutes were <br /> corrected to read that the outside activities at Gillespies <br /> Place could continue until bar closing time on Friday and <br /> Saturday nites . A motion was made by SS/MK to approve the <br /> minutes as corrected. Motion carried. <br /> The Treasurers report and due bills were reviewed. A <br /> motion was made by SK/SS to pay all due bills . Carried. <br /> The speed limit on Gaston Road was discussed. It was <br /> decided to hold until next meeting. <br /> David Strassman appeared before the Board to request a <br /> waiver of a County Ordinance requiring frontage on a public <br /> street for a piece of property. A motion was made by MK/SS <br /> to approve the request for a waiver of easement to lot 2 as <br /> shown on Office map 12058 subject to the deed restrictions <br /> stating that this lot shall not be subdivided from the <br /> property and shall never be for any use other than an <br /> airport. Motion carried. <br /> Wisconsin statute #88 . 90 dealing with the obstruction in <br /> Rattlesnake Creek was discussed. Silvin Kurt will notify the <br /> owner of the property that an obstruction exists and that <br /> others wish that it be removed. <br /> Sue Kettinger submitted her resignation as a member of the <br /> EMS commission. She recommends Georgia Punswick as a <br /> replacement . A motion was made by MK/SS to accept the <br /> resignation and request that the Chairman send a letter of <br /> commendation. Motion carried. <br /> A motion was made by MK/TN that Mrs . Punswick be <br /> recommended to fill the vacancy left by Sue . Motion carried. <br /> Chairman Skaar will send a letter to the Village and the <br /> Fire Department asking for a meeting to review the Fire <br /> Department Budget. He will try for Oct. 22 or 26 . <br /> Mike Kindschi reported that a police officer has been <br /> working more that five hours per shift. Silvin Kurt reported <br /> that the maintenance on the squad car has been quite lax. It <br /> has gone between 6 , 000 and 10 , 000 between oil changes . These <br /> items will be brought up at the next L.E.C . meeting. <br /> Repair to the salt shed was discussed. The Board will <br /> review the repairs and discuss them at the next meeting. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 : 45 P .M. <br /> Stanley Selje, Clerk <br />
