ONSRUD, A SUPERVISOR, RESPONDED TO TALK ABOUT THE LAND USE <br /> MAP CLASSIFICATION OF PRIME AGRICULTURAL WITH "THAT'S NOT PRIME <br /> AGRICULTURAL LAND" . <br /> I HAVE, HOWEVER, CONTACTED THE ASC OFFICE TO HAVE THEM CHECK <br /> THE SOIL CONDITIONS AND SUBMIT THE FINDINGS TO THE TOWN BOARD SO <br /> THAT THE BOARD CAN EVALUATE THE NEED TO CHANGE THE SOIL <br /> PRODUCTIVITY CLASSIFICATION AS SET FORTH ON PAGE 9 OF THE LAND <br /> USE PLAN. <br /> I WILL ALSO SUBMIT A PETITION TO THE TOWN OF RUTLAND IN <br /> JANUARY 1988 TO REQUEST THAT THE TOWN AMEND ITS LAND USE PLAN TO <br /> TAKE INTO ACCOUNT CHANGING CONDITIONS SINCE 1980 IN TRAFFIC, <br /> HIGHWAYS, AGRICULTURAL SURPLUSES, TAXES AND LACK OF RETURN ON <br /> EQUITY FOR EXCLUSIVE AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES AS WELL AS PROXIMITY <br /> TO OTHER ZONED A-1 AGRICULTURAL ZONING IN THIS AREA AND THE <br /> VILLAGE OF OREGON. <br /> I FURTHER REQUEST THAT YOU AND THE COUNTY BOARD DO NOT ACT <br /> ON OUR PETITION FOR REZONING UNTIL WE TRY TO WORK OUT A <br /> SATISFACTORY AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE PLAN. <br /> 2 <br />
