.
-2-
and southbound traffic. On the east leg of Watts Road, a
separate right-turn lane for traffic turning toward the north
will be needed in addition to two other lanes for left-turn
and through traffic. Besides, additional right-of-way from
the hotel site, we will also need to obtain additional right-of-way
from Woodman's.
These improvements, as mentioned earlier, are considered necessary
in order to meet the ultimate traffic needs of the area.
However, with the pace of development that we are seeing in
this area, it may be necessary to implement these improvements
in the near future. The City of Madison and the Town of Middleton
have scheduled a street improvement project for Watts Road
between Gammon Road and Struck Street in 1988. It would be
desirable to try and incorporate the ultimate design for the
east leg of the Watts Road portion of the ultimate intersection
redesign in this project. In order to do this, we will need
to have the necessary right-of-way dedicated at this time.
400
%'! LN
