• <br /> 17.20(2)(d) <br /> 17.20 M-L Limited Industrial District <br /> (1 ) Purpose. The M-L District is established to accommo- <br /> - date existing non-nuisance type industrial uses and to <br /> preserve and protect lands designated on the master <br /> plan for industrial development and use from the in- <br /> trusion of certain incompatible uses which might impede <br /> the development and use of lands for industrial purposes. <br /> Development in the M-L District is limited primarily <br /> to certain commercial uses and certain industrial uses, <br /> such as the fabrication of materials, and specialized <br /> manufacturing and research institutions, all of a <br /> non-nuisance type. <br /> (2) District Policies. All uses and premises in the M-L <br /> District are subject to the following requirements: <br /> (a) All business, servicing or processing and all <br /> storage (except for off-street parking of motor <br /> vehicles in operable condition, off-street <br /> parking, loading and display of merchandise for <br /> sale to the public) shall be conducted within <br /> completely enclosed buildings or shall be <br /> effectively screened with screening permanently <br /> blocking views into the site at the height of <br /> not less than 6 feet and no non-enclosed storage <br /> located within 50 feet of such screening shall <br /> exceed the maximum height of such screening. <br /> (b) All non-enclosed areas of the site that are used <br /> as drives or parking areas for moving vehicles <br /> shall be paved or effectively dust-proofed and <br /> measures shall exist on site to prevent tracking <br /> of mud from the site into public streets. <br /> (c) The limited industrial areas are situated within <br /> the village at key entry points. Because of these <br /> locations, it is crucial to the well-being of the <br /> village and maintenance of property values through- <br /> out the community that premises within the district <br /> be established and maintained in an attractive <br /> appearance. All structures (except those parts <br /> under active construction) are, therefore, required <br /> to be finished in uniform or compatible materials <br /> and colors, and premises are required to be land- <br /> scaped in a manner that reasonably softens the <br /> overall appearance, to be kept clean and uncluttered <br /> in all areas subject to public view, and to be <br /> maintained in accord with these standards. <br /> (d) Each property shall be dimensioned and structures <br /> and activities thereon shall be conducted so as <br /> •'' to comply fully with the following: <br /> 18 <br />
