Dear Ms. Bisgard and Committee : On Tuesday July 12th, 1988 at their regularly scheduled meeting, the Windsor Town Board unanimously voted to deny conditional use permit # 671 by Curt Roeming for an amusement park, movie theatre and resident for caretaker at 6476 Lake Road, (CTH "CV" ) section 32, SW 4 NW 4 Town of Windsor. Mr. Roeming first appeared at our May 10th, 1988 meeting. He had simply requested an appearance before the Town Board. Therefore, his name appeared on our posted agenda but there was no reference as to his purpose. At the meeting he explained he wanted to place a miniature golf course on his property. Many residents from his neighborhood were in attendance for another issue, but they expressed their concerns over his proposal. The Board ex- plained the formal process necessary for such a change and referr- ed him to our Town Plan Commission. Our Plan Commission met on May 23rd, 1988. The Public Hearing for conditional use permit # 671 was held at this meeting. Many local residents appeared and expressed their opposition to plac- ing a miniature golf course in their neighborhood. Their major concerns centered around pedistrian and traffic problems that exist in the area. The Plan Commission voted unanimously to deny the conditional use permit . Our posted agenda for the June 14th, 1988 meeting included Curt Roeming' s name and the purpose of his proposal . After the agenda was published, Mr. Roeming called the town hall and requested that the Board hold conditional use permit #671 in abeyance. No further information was made available and Mr. Roeming was not in attendance. However, there were members of his neighborhood in attendance at that meeting.
