DANE COUNTY ZONING PETITION ##.3807 and Preliminary Plat of White
Pines subdivision. Petitioner , William Krell , 6903 MidTown Rd. , Town
of Verona. Proposed rezoning from RH-3 to RH-1 of a 15.26-acre
parcel at the end of Jeffy Trail . (This
revision has not yet been referred by Dane County to the Town for
recommendation. ) Mr. McKenna explained that his client was not
interested in building any additional town road extension , and that
county subdivision regulations would not allow Jeffy Trail to be
extended beyond its present length with a temporary turnaround.
Commission members pointed out that in 1984, at a time when Mr.
ad
Krell still controlled all of the concerned parcels, the Townlhad
stipulated , with his agreement, that any further rezoning or
division of Parcels A,B,D,E, and F would be contingent upon
submission of a preliminary plat for the entire area and provision
for a town road to serve additional lots.
In further discussion , the following points were emphasized:
(1 ) No homes have been built on the four lots created by Mr. Krell in
1984 on the west side of Jeffy Trail ; thus there would appear to be
no need for further rezoning at this time. (2) The dimensions and
shape of lots in both the 5-lot and the 3-lot White Fines
preliminary plats are extremely awkward , and do not represent good
planning of lot configuration. (3) Proposed driveways are
excessively long , and would eliminate the possibility of improved
