•
P H JAN 13 1987 ITEM NO. °2'9
PET/T/ON NO.a L , C.U.P. NO.
E.H.D.
3856 The soils on this parcel are rated as not suitable for private •
sewage systems. If this parcel cannot be served by public sewer
we will object to this petition.
CO HWY.
Petition 3856 . CTH "M" is a controlled access highway. This
parcel is presently served by a field access . A
change-in-use application would be required for the field
entrance if it is intended to serve a commercial development .
The remaining properties on either side of this proposed
parcel would be without future access to "M" . Traffic along .
this portion of "M" is extremely heavy and this will be ' a
factor in the approval process for the change-in-use
application.
RP C.
p3856 This is within the urban service area of the Town of Westport Plan
where commercial uses are allowed. This and the next petition raise
questions about more detailed planning for the area. How much of
what type of commercial Is contemplated? How much residential
development at which densities Is planned?
in addition, the rezoning to C-1 should have some conditions, since
many of the permitted uses in C-1 are not compatible with a
generally residential area.
T.
