I don't think I need to go into any great detail that at the present <br /> time County Trunk M is heavily traveled. In fact, I believe that <br /> statistics will bear out that sections of this Highway have had some <br /> of the highest incidence of accidents and personal injury in the <br /> county. I am already deeply concerned about the traffic and accident <br /> situation there. Commercial development will further compound <br /> this serious traffic problem. As a matter of fact, I feel that both <br /> my wife and I are taking our lives in our hands when we attempt <br /> to make a left-hand turn into oncoming traffic into our driveway. <br /> I understand that a four lane highway is being considered for County <br /> Trunk M. I would like to know how the timing and construction <br /> of this proposed highway will dovetail into the proposed development. <br /> It is probably also appropriate to consider which side of the road <br /> additional land will be taken in as much as the land in question is <br /> currently undeveloped. <br /> 5. My profession is that of a real estate broker and developer. <br /> Therefore, I am not in any way opposed to development as long as <br /> it is properly planned and interested parties have proper notice for <br /> meetings and an opportunity for involvement in the planning process. <br /> This has not occurred for this development. <br /> 6. I feel that the county and the township both have a responsibility <br /> to its residents to be able to provide for orderly planning, traffic, <br /> zoning and eventual development. <br /> Please postpone any further consideration of this request until a plan has <br /> been properly drafted, exposed to the public for review and comment and <br /> finally, that my concerns for traffic and related issues are properly <br /> accounted for. <br /> Very • . s, <br /> Richard V.
