MODERN PLUMBING AND HEATING
NORMAN M. PECK
131 D1 RFIELD RD. PHONE 655-3162
MARSHALL, WIS. 53559
TO: LYMAN ANDERSON, CHAIRMAN
AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT AND LAND
RECORDS COMMITTEE
I, Michael C. Peck and Modern Plumbing and Heating Company
are seeking approval of Zoning Petition #3888 and C.U.P. #554
for a mineral extraction site. I have circulated a letter and
petition with 125 signatures in favor of this sand pit. All of
these people are from the Marshall area and have been customers
of ours through the years.
We have two or three concerned citizens who live on Box
Elder Rd. who don't think we should be allowed to have a sand
pit. One of the land owners property will be adjacent to one
of the pit areas, but we will not be affecting his property in
anyway. His residence is 1000 ft. from the sand pit.
All the complaints or concerns about traffic problems,
road use, dust, noise and land use have all been answered and
will be either taken care of by us or the Town Board.
Now these concerned citizens think that we should only
have one pit site open and that this site be open for only
five years.
The reasons we need both sites open is because there is two
different types of sand in these areas. One is a clean sand
free of stones and the other is pit-run gravel, both have
distinct uses, which I point out in my letter and petition.
