Dane County Agriculture, Environment and Land Records Committee DCRPC Staff Comments 7-14-87 General Comments These are cases for which no comment is necessary, In the opinion of the staff : #4001 , 4002, 4006, 4008, 4009, 4010, 4012, 4013, 4015, 4016, 4017, CUP #602, CUP *603, CUP #604, 4018, 4021 , 4022, 4025, 4028. *4003 - CUP #590 This is In the farmland preservation area of the Town of Blue Mounds Plan, however , there are no policies related to this unique use. From a public safety standpoint , this area of the county needs additional radio communication ability. Locating adjacent to the county park appears reasonably compatible with the park use and public safety purposes. #4004 This site is in the agricultural preservation district of the Town of Westport Plan, where the only provision Is for farm-related houses. Existing parcels are "grandfathered" , or allowed to have a house, however this request Is for three additional lots. This site is adjacent to an existing subdivision, however it is currently under consideration for public sewer service, since there are a number of failing septic systems in the subdivision. The soil maps also indicate that approximately the eastern one-third of the proposed site has soil with very severe limitations for septic tank soil absorption systems. The Town of Westport recently amended the plan, however no change was made to this area. Therefore the petition is inconsistent with plan policies unless the plan is amended. #4005 This parcel is In the rural non-farm district of the recently amended Town of Verona Plan. Single family homes are allowed, however there is no provision for duplexes. #4007 This is a pre-existing parcel , however the Town of Medina Plan makes no provision for a split . Two relevant policies are: "1 . To discourage all non-farm development in Agricultural Preservation Areas. 2. To discourage all rezoning In agricultural areas. "
