Dane County Agriculture, Environment and Land Records Committee <br /> DCRPC Staff Comments 7-14-87 <br /> General Comments <br /> These are cases for which no comment is necessary, In the opinion of the <br /> staff : <br /> #4001 , 4002, 4006, 4008, 4009, 4010, 4012, 4013, 4015, 4016, 4017, <br /> CUP #602, CUP *603, CUP #604, 4018, 4021 , 4022, 4025, 4028. <br /> *4003 - CUP #590 This is In the farmland preservation area of the Town <br /> of Blue Mounds Plan, however , there are no policies <br /> related to this unique use. From a public safety <br /> standpoint , this area of the county needs additional <br /> radio communication ability. Locating adjacent to the <br /> county park appears reasonably compatible with the <br /> park use and public safety purposes. <br /> #4004 This site is in the agricultural preservation district of the Town <br /> of Westport Plan, where the only provision Is for farm-related <br /> houses. Existing parcels are "grandfathered" , or allowed to have a <br /> house, however this request Is for three additional lots. <br /> This site is adjacent to an existing subdivision, however it is <br /> currently under consideration for public sewer service, since there <br /> are a number of failing septic systems in the subdivision. The <br /> soil maps also indicate that approximately the eastern one-third of <br /> the proposed site has soil with very severe limitations for septic <br /> tank soil absorption systems. <br /> The Town of Westport recently amended the plan, however no change <br /> was made to this area. Therefore the petition is inconsistent with <br /> plan policies unless the plan is amended. <br /> #4005 This parcel is In the rural non-farm district of the recently <br /> amended Town of Verona Plan. Single family homes are allowed, <br /> however there is no provision for duplexes. <br /> #4007 This is a pre-existing parcel , however the Town of Medina Plan <br /> makes no provision for a split . Two relevant policies are: <br /> "1 . To discourage all non-farm development in Agricultural <br /> Preservation Areas. <br /> 2. To discourage all rezoning In agricultural areas. " <br />
