Dane County Dept. of Planning and Development Attn: Roger Lane, Zoning Administrator January 6, 2017 Page 2 Concerning proposed Condition No. 9, Madison Crushing is willing to install "squawk boxes" and would like to expand its hours of operation for the purpose of hauling - material to and from stockpiles. Concerning proposed Condition No. 14, there will be no bulk fuel stored in the CUP areas. There currently is bulk fuel stored on the parcel which constitutes the office of . i Madison Crushing, but there will be no storage of any kind of fuel in the CUP area. Concerning proposed Condition No. 21, Madison Crushing proposes that property owners within 200 feet of the CUP boundaries be notified at least 24 hours in advance of a blasting event. However, Madison Crushing requests that this condition be tailored to require any land owner in the area that wishes to receive notice first provide the Town Clerk with their contact information. The Town Clerk can keep record of those parties wishing to receive notice and Madison Crushing will then provide notice to those parties. Historically, Madison Crushing has attempted to provide notice to its neighbors, and many of the neighbors have told Madison Crushing that they do not wish to receive notice each time a blasting occurs. Further, as properties are bought and sold, it is sometimes difficult to maintain an accurate record of the people living within the affected areas. All other proposed conditions set forth in your December 21, 2016 letter are acceptable to Madison Crushing. We look forward to completing the Conditional Use Permit process.
