I have
reviewed your letter of December 21, 2016, with William Ziegler, and specifically the
proposed conditions for the Conditional Use Permit. Prior to the public hearing
scheduled in this matter for January 24, 2017, Madison Crushing offers the following
comments regarding the proposed conditions.
In proposed Condition No. 4, Madison Crushing requests that the limit of the CUP be 20
years from the date of approval. Madison Crushing anticipates that it will take
approximately 20 years at its current schedule to remove all of the material from the CUP
areas and begin reclamation of these areas.
In proposed Condition No. 6, Madison Crushing does not object to paving all driveways a
minimum of 100 feet from the road. However, Madison Crushing requests that the
definition of "paved" be modified to allow for the spreading of asphalt-like material or
recycled asphalt on top of the existing gravel driveway instead of doing a complete
pavement project similar to what you would find in a residential home or commercial
driveway.
In proposed Condition No. 7, Madison Crushing requests that both access points on the
north and south of the site be used for access to the north and south CUP areas.. The
north access point is necessary in order to gain access to the north site as Madison
Crushing is not able to gain access to the north CUP site from the existing access point.
Both the north and the south access points already exist, are posted, and are gated.
TIT MERITAS`LA.,'e'.RMS WCAL'A AL
