Weiman ' s reneging on our verbal agreement seems to indicate <br /> his continuing lack of interest about the concerns and <br /> reservations of his neighbors about the proposed airstrip . As so <br /> aptly expressed by Mr . George Schiller before your committee on <br /> 7-14-87 , "Mr . Weiman is trying to ram this airport down his <br /> neighbors ' throats " . As also pointed out by Mr . Schiller , there <br /> are plenty of other airports in the vicinity that could be used <br /> by Mr . Weiman . <br /> As I have indicated in my correspondence and before your <br /> committee I continue to oppose the proposed airstrip on the <br /> grounds that it is unnecessary , inappropriate and potentially <br /> unsafe . It is my belief that the proposed conditional use permit <br /> does not meet the standards set forth in the Dane County Code of <br /> Ordinances , Chapter 10 . 255 ( 2 ) ( g) subparagraphs 1 and 2 . As <br /> previously stated , this area is of a residential nature , a factor <br /> which I feel should weigh heavily in your decision .
