Request for Permit-Floodplain Development Application
Y-81 Kegonsa-Sun Prairie Rerate Project ' Page 8
Dane County, Wisconsin
(5) and ch. 185, are considered to satisfy the requirements of Shoreland Zoning regulations if the
WDNR has issued all required permits or approvals authorizing the construction or maintenance under
ch. 30, 31, 281, or 283, or in instances where no department permit or approval under these statutes
is required, where the construction or maintenance of the utility is conducted in a manner that employs
best management practices (BMPs) to infiltrate or otherwise control storm water runoff (Section
59.692(7), State Statute).
No ch. 30, 31, or 281 permits are required for the project. ATC obtained coverage under the
Construction Site Storm Water Runoff General Permit No. WI-S067831-5, which will ensure compliance
with ch. 283. In addition, ATC will be implementing BMPs throughout the project to control storm
water runoff. Application to Dane County for Shoreland Zoning authorization is therefore not required.
Statute 59.692(7) and Wisconsin Act 391 are included in Attachment 9.
• gai consultants
D160245.00/March 30, 2017
