Again, thank you for your assistance and cooperation. I look forward to working with you to complete this process and
obtain the final permits.
Thank you,
Marc Bourgault
From: Marc Bourgault
Sent:Thursday,June 29, 2017 12:00 PM
To:Scott Schroeckenthaler(schroeckenthaler @countyofdane.com) <schroeckenthaler @countyofdane.com>
Cc:John Carabelli (JCarabelli @RoadRangerUSA.com)<JCarabelli@RoadRangerUSA.com>; Hope Collins
<hcollins @roadrangerusa.com>
Subject: Road Ranger#136 on County Hwy N
Importance: High
Scott,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. I apologize for any confusion or problems that I may have caused. Per
our discussion, please reference the attached files and the notes below.
1. Sheet S1 shows the canopy signage. We replaced the two Road Ranger badges with two letter cabinets and
two horse heads. Also, we removed the red building awnings and plan on installing two blue awnings over the
front doors. We added red LED band lighting to the auto canopy as well.
2. Sheet S2 shows the before and after images of the four sides of the building. I believe that you stated the
painting work, building awnings, flashing and stone work are not an issue. I plan on continuing with the
completion of that work unless you tell me differently. We did remove the two illuminated "Road Ranger"
letters on the north and west sides. We added the two letter cabinets instead. Also, we added the horse mural
on the west side. The window graphics will probably be updated. I don't have details on the window graphics
yet.
3. We are adding 10 dual faced directional signs on our property. The locations of them can be found on sheets
C19 and C20 of the site plans. The graphics and other details can be found on sheet C23 of the site plans. I am
including other reference site plan sheets for your use.
4. At this point we do not have any plans on adding any cabinets or additional signs to the high rise pylon sign or
mid-rise dual post sign on our property. We may have to replace the Subway faces depending upon Subways
requirements based on our franchise agreement. Subway has changed/updated their image and may require us
to update those faces. In addition, they may require the building sign (north face)to be replaced. Once I have
info on that, I will contact your office before anything is done.
5. I am including pictures which I took yesterday(6/28/2017) at the site for your reference.
6. We plan on adding site lighting to our site due to some of the effects of WisDOT's access re-configuration.
I understand that you issued a stop work order for the installation of the signs on the property until we have the proper
permits. It is my understanding that this does not affect the painting, stonework, landscaping, building awnings,
sitework,or other work at the site which is not signage.
Please contact me at your convenience once you have reviewed the attached material. I would like to discuss any issues
or concerns.
Please confirm that you received this email and the attachments.
Thank you,
Marc Bourgault, P.E.
Vice President of Engineering, Planning& Development
Cell:815-540-9929
Fax: 815-308-7066
MBourgauit@RoadRangerUSA.com
Road Ranger, L.L.C. •
4930 East State St., Rockford,IL 61108
'We.7fe(p Peop(e"
2
