Notwithstanding our concerns, we believe the MJCC and Camp Shalom are socially <br /> responsible organizations and provide a positive service and benefit to our community. <br /> We also believe they will try to be "good neighbors". We have no objection to the <br /> majority of the uses the MJCC propose for the property and do not object to the zoning <br /> change or to the CUP provided that certain conditions are met. These conditions are: <br /> 1. Prohibiting usage of the property as a commercial campground or camping resort as <br /> allowed by section (2)(a) of the RE-1 conditional uses. <br /> 2. Not allowing the conditional uses that are provided for in sections (2)(d), (e) and(f) <br /> as well as any other conditional uses that are not shown in the ordinances. <br /> 3. Prohibiting athletic activities after hours of darkness. <br /> 4. A requirement to replace the existing property line fence between us at its current <br /> location with an adequate containment fence in the event of a sustained pattern of <br /> trespassing on our property or of significant quantities of trash being blown or <br /> deposited on our property. Don't get me wrong, we do not desire to have a new <br /> fence put up. We much prefer the natural wooded appearance we now have along <br /> our fence lines.
