F
e , t '''; Land Conservation Division
> Dane County Land & Water Resources Department
1839
,4CCIS6 Patrick J.Sutter, County Conservationist
DATE: April 22, 2008
TO: John Pertzborn and Sharon Pertzborn-Jensen
Owners
FROM: Jeremy Balousek, P.E.
Urban Conservation Engineer
RE: Jensen Residence—Erosion Control and Stormwater Management Plan,
ES2008-0047
The submitted erosion control and stormwater management plan meets the needs of the site. The
plan includes the following requirements:
1. The site may only be accessed off Carter Road using a stone tracking pad. The pad must
be a minimum of 50' long x 24' wide x 12" deep and be constructed of 3-inch clear stone.
No other site access may be used and material deposited in the road will be cleaned up
• throughout and at the end of each workday.
2. Silt fence must be installed prior to grading in the locations shown on the plan and where
deemed necessary, including the down slope of all soil stockpiles. The silt fence must be
maintained until the site is vegetated and stabilized.
3. Stone weepers must be installed in the locations identified in the plan prior to other
grading. Sediment must be removed from the upslope side of the weepers once it reaches
V2 the their height.
4. Culvert and pipe outfalls will be protected by rock riprap. The riprap will be installed
such that it forms a"bowl" with a depth of at least 12-inches to dissipate runoff energy.
5. A stormwater basin must be constructed according to the submitted plan prior to other
grading. As the basin will be utilized to remove sediment from runoff during
construction, sediment must be periodically excavated to maintain trapping efficiency.
6. All channel bottoms identified in the plan must be erosion matted during final site
stabilization. The erosion matting must be WisDOT Class I, Type B or Class II, Type B
matting or better, as specified in the plan.
7. Grading must be confined to the areas shown on the plan. No material storage, vehicle
traffic or grading may occur in the areas identified as "undisturbed" or"vegetated buffer"
Lyman F.Anderson Agriculture&Conservation Center
1 Fen Oak Court, Room 208, Madison,Wisconsin 53718-8812-PH: 608/224-3730,FAX:608/224-3745
www.countyofdane.com/landconservation
