Nicole Cuellar
From: Kirk Keller <kkeller @prarch.com>
Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2017 2:52 PM
To: Nicole Cuellar
Cc: Russell Owens
Subject: RE:Airport Height Limitation Zone
Attachments: DaneCountyRegionalAirportHeightLimitationPoster.pdf
Nicole,
All City and High Crossing Office Park zoning requirements have been met for the development of the 2323 Crossroads
Drive office building. One of the requirements that needed to be met was to not exceed height limitations established for
the property as it relates to the Dane County Regional Airport. The height limitations were adhered to and permit was
received for construction from the City of Madison.
Thanks,
Kirk
Here are a few statistics to aid in understanding the height of the 2323 Building.
1. The civil engineering firm of record established the on grade first floor elevation as 946.50 feet above mean sea
level.
2. The height of the building, with the proposed roof top mechanical screen, as indicated on the 21 July 2017
Construction Documents, is indicated as 81.896 feet.
3. This places the proposed top most point of the building at elevation 1,028.396 feet above sea level.
4. Per the attached map the maximum height of a building in this airport access zone are is 1,076 feet above mean
sea level. This indicates a potential zone above the building of 47.60 feet available.
5. Field confirmation of the actual height of the first floor installed height has not been completed.
6. If the deign/build mechanical engineer alters rooftop mechanical equipment height they will need to update these
numbers.
From: Nicole Cuellar [mailto:nicole @newcombbuilds.com]
Sent: Monday,August 21, 2017 11:49 AM
To: Kirk Keller<kkeller @prarch.com>
Subject:Airport Height Limitation Zone
Kirk,
Could you verify that no part of the 2323 Crossroads Drive project, including HVAC Equipment, chimneys, flagpoles,
parapets, etc, will exceed the maximum permitted elevation in the Airport Height Limitation Zone?
I need it for our crane permit.
Thank you,
Nicole Cuellar
Project Manager
Newcomb Construction Company, Inc.
999 Fourier Drive #102, Madison, WI 53717
TEL 608 833-5220 I CELL 608 575-4680
www.NewcombBuilds.com
