<br /> ORDER OF ESTABLISHIIENT OF A SCHOOL DISTRICT
<br /> Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 40.02 (5) , 40.025 (2) and 40.03 of the
<br /> Wisconsin Statutes, the Dane and Columbia County School Committees, State of
<br /> Wisconsin, having held a formal hearing on the 29th day of July, 1965, and
<br /> having held a conference with the school boards of the districts involved
<br /> precedent to the issuance of this order, all being in accordance with the
<br /> provisions of the aforementioned statutes, it is hereby ordered that the
<br /> following designated districts be dissolved, to-wit:
<br /> The DeForest Union High School District, the Union High School District of
<br /> the Village of DeForest and the Towns of Bristol, Burke, Vienna, Windsor
<br /> of Dane County and the Towns of Hampden and Leeds, Columbia County, •
<br /> The DeForest Elementary School District, Jt.4, Village of DeForest and the
<br /> Towns of Vienna, Windsor and Burke, Dane County and Towns of Hampden and
<br /> Leeds, Columbia County,
<br /> The North Windsor Elementary School District, Jt. 6, Towns of Windsor and
<br /> Bristol, Dane County,
<br /> The Ivorrisonville Elementary School District, Jt. 5, Towns of Windsor and
<br /> Vienna, Dane County and Town of Leeds, Columbia County,
<br /> The Happy Hour Elementary School District, No. 9, Town of Windsor, Dane
<br /> County,
<br /> The Vincent Elementary School District, No. 7, Town of Windsor, Dane County,
<br /> The ample Grove Elementary School District, No. 5, Town of Windsor, Dane
<br /> County,
<br /> The Windsor Elementary School District, No. 3, Town of Windsor, Dane County,
<br /> The Tfangsness Elementary School District, Jt. 8, Towns of Vienna and Windsor,
<br /> Dane County,
<br /> The Sanderson Elementary School District, No. 5, Town .of Burke, Dane County,
<br /> The Pumpkin Hollow Elementary School District, Jt. 2, Towns of Burke and
<br /> Windsor, Dane County,
<br /> The LaFollette Elementary School District, No. 6, Town of Leeds, Columbia
<br /> County,
<br /> The Norway Grove Elementary School District, No. 2, Town of Vienna, Dane
<br /> County, all in the State of :^disconsin,
<br /> and to create a Common School District Joint No. 10 , Village of DeForest and
<br /> Towns of Bristol, Burke, Vienna, Windsor, County of Dane, aad Towns of Hampden
<br /> and Leeds, Columbia County, State of Wisconsin, to operate elementary and high
<br /> school grades.
<br /> It is further ordered that said Common School District Joint No. 10 shall
<br /> comprise the territory consisting of the above afresaid dissolved districts and
<br /> is hereby created to operate both elementary and high school grades, being
<br /> kindergarten through 12 grade.
<br /> The School Board of the newly created district shall consist of 9 members
<br /> elected pursuant to sosction 40.26 (8) Wisconsin Statutes.Three of these members
<br /> shall reside in the Town of Windsorr--',Bristol area. Two of these members
<br /> shall reside in the Village of DeForest area. Two members shall reside in the
<br /> Township of Leeds -- Hampden area. One member shall reside in the township of
<br /> Vienna area, and one member shall reside in the Township of Burke area.
<br /> This order becomes effective on the 1st day of September,1965.
<br /> The first district meeting of said designated school district shall be held at
<br /> the DeForest High School on the 27th day of September , 1965, beginning at
<br /> 8 o'clock in the afternoon and it is hereby ordered that the election procedures
<br /> must be in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes and that the polls must be open
<br /> from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. (40.27) on September 27 , 1965, which allows ample time
<br /> for candidates to declare their intention to run for school office. The Wiscon-
<br /> sin Statutes provide that the declaration oe candidates must be filed 20 days
<br /> prior to the Annual IJieeting. 40.27 (2) (e)
