• „r <br /> e . <br /> The clerk of the town, village or city in which the greatest number of electors <br /> reside shall act as clerk of the election and declaration of candidacy shall be <br /> filed with him. He shall cause notice of the election to be given as provided by <br /> the statutes which govern municipal elections. Such clerk shall have charge of <br /> the election and provide all necessary materials and equipment to conduct the <br /> same in a manner similar to that used for conducting municipal elections.
