To complete the
permit process you will need to submit a signed and dated site plan, floor plan,
and elevation view drawing. The site plan shall be drawn to scale and show the
lot lines and lot dimensions, the location and size of all existing and proposed
buildings and their distances from all lot lines. The site plan must also show the
location of any wells and septic features. The floor plan and elevation view also
need to be drawn to scale. A front elevation is required to show the height of the
structure from the property road frontage.
Depending on the exact location of the proposed structure an erosion control
permit from Dane County Land Conservation (608.224.3730) may be required,
due to the steep slopes on the property, before a zoning permit can be issued.
Please contact Land Conservation to determine if the permit will be necessary
(see attached PDF).
The above requirements can be delivered in person or by mail to:
Dane County Zoning
Hans Hilbert
210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rm. 116
Madison, WI 53703
They can also be e-mailed to hilbert.hans @co.dane.wi.us if they are in a format
that remains to scale when printed. If the plans are mailed or e-mailed, after
review, I will contact you to arrange a time to pick up and pay for the permit. If
the plans are brought in person, they can be reviewed at that time and a permit
can be issued while you wait.
Feel free to contact me for further information or any questions.
3
