Maintenance <br /> includes: <br /> • The raingardens must be mulched until vegetation has become established, and <br /> once vegetation is established, it should be mulched as needed to help keep <br /> weeds under control. <br /> • Plants should be watered at least weekly for the first 3 months,depending on the <br /> weather <br /> • Vegetation must be weeded as necessary during the first year and at least twice a <br /> year(or as needed)after that <br /> • If runoff ponds in the raingardens for more than 72 hours, sediment must be <br /> removed and plantings replaced to restore infiltration capacity. <br />
