NO 25, 1987-88 <br /> AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE DANE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br /> RELATING TO DEFINITIONS AND USES IN <br /> - THE B-1, C-1 AND C-2 ZONING DISTRICTS <br /> The County Board of Supervisors of the County of Dane do ordain as <br /> follows: <br /> I. Unless otherwise expressly stated herein, all references to section <br /> and chapter numbers are to those of the Dane County Code of Ordinances. <br /> II. Subsections (6m) and (36m) of section 10.01 are created to read as <br /> . follows: <br /> - (6m) Boat slip means a mooring accomodation for the in-water storage of a <br /> • <br /> boat or other water craft which is owned by other than a resident or owner <br /> of the premises. <br /> (36m) Marina means a shoreside facility that provides accomodation and <br /> service for boating and may include but is not limited to docks; boat <br /> slips; inside or outside storage of boats, boat trailers, storage cradles <br /> and other related marina items; sale of boats, boating equipment, fuel and <br /> . supplies. Docks or boat slips by. themselves do not constitute a marina <br /> . • use. <br /> • <br /> .. ' - [EXPLANATION: This amendment adds definitions for use in the <br /> zoning ordinance and should be read in conjunction with the <br /> . - amendments made in Articles III and IV of this Ordinance <br /> Amendment. Without their inclusion in the ordinance, the <br /> definitions are left to the interpretation of the Zoning <br /> Administrator. ] <br /> • III. Sub-subsection' (j) of subsection (1) of section 10.11 is created to <br /> . - • read as follows: <br /> (j) Boat slips • <br /> .. - [EXPLANATION: • This amendment has the effect of allowing boat <br /> - slips, used by other than the owner or resident of the premises <br /> . on which the slip is located, in the B-1 zoning district and, by <br /> virtue of other language in the ordinance, in the C-1 and C-2 <br /> • Commercial and M-1 Manufacturing districts as well. It also has <br /> '. the effect of prohibiting non-owner, non-resident uses of boat <br /> . • slips in other than these districts. At present, the Zoning <br /> • Administrator has interpreted the ordinance to allow the use in <br /> the RE-1 Recreational district. ] <br /> • . . - IV.
