;(35) "real estate sign" shall mean a sign that provides identification of <br /> property that is for lease, rent or sale. <br /> (36) "road classification" shall refer to the system of classifying roads, <br /> according to the following scheme: <br /> Class A All federal and state highways and designated county highways. <br /> Class B All County highways except those designated as class "A". <br /> Class C All town roads. <br /> Class D Roads within subdivisions which were recorded prior to the <br /> adoption of the zoning ordinance. <br /> Class E All other roads. <br /> (37) "side by side signs" shall mean two or more signs mounted adjacently on <br /> the same structure. Signs mounted on a 'V—shaped' frame that has an internal <br /> angle larger than 40° shall be considered side by side signs. <br /> (38) "sign copy area" shall mean the total area of a sign face which may be <br /> used for display of advertising, message announcement, etc. <br /> (39) "sign face" shall mean the total surface of a sign including the trim <br /> and copy area. <br /> (40) "signable wall area" shall mean the designated area of the wall of a <br /> building, up to the roof line, which is free of windows and doors or major <br /> architectural detail. <br /> (41) "subdivision sign (Permanent)" shall mean a permanently installed sign <br /> located on the subdivision property which identifies the subdivision name, etc. <br /> (42) "subdivision sign (temporary)" shall mean a sign whicvh advertises the <br /> development of a residential or commercial subdivision plat. <br /> (43) "temporary signs" shall mean signs which are installed for a limited <br /> time period for the purpose of advertising a forthcoming event, e. g. , <br /> retailer's signs temporarily displayed for the purpose of informing the public <br /> of a sale or special offer, garage sale signs, church or club event signs, <br /> etc. A permanently mounted sign shall not be considered as temporary even <br /> though the message displayed is subject to periodic changes. <br /> (44) "trim" shall mean a separate boarder or framing around the copy area of <br /> a sign. <br /> (45) "V shaped frame" shall mean a sign support structure which will <br /> accommodate two signs in a back to back position with one end of each sign <br /> mounted on a common support with the other sign. The other ends of the signs <br /> are mounted on separate, individual supports. <br />
