ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT (#1826 <br /> Amending the text of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 10) . <br /> The Dane County Board of Supervisors does ordain as follows: <br /> Repeal subsections 10.01 (23) and (24) . <br /> { Renumber subsection 10.01 (25) thru (28) to (23) thru (26) . <br /> Renumber subsections 10.01 (23a) to (27) . <br /> Renumber subsections 10.01 (28) thru (44) to (27) thru (43) . <br /> Renumber subsections 10.01 (38a) to (44) . <br /> Renumber subsections 10.01 (46) thru (79) to (47) thru (80) . <br /> Renumber subsections 10.01 (45a) to (46) . <br /> Amend subsection 10.01 (6) to read as follows: <br /> (6) Building: Any structure having a roof supported by posts, columns or walls <br /> used or intended to be used for the shelter or enclosure of person, animals, <br /> equipment, machinery or materials. Also included for permit and locational <br /> purposes are towers for microwave antennas, community television antennas <br /> but not towers and posts for lines carrying telephone messages or electricity. <br /> Amend, subsection 10.01 (12) to read as follows: <br /> (12) , Club: An association for some common purpose, but not including a group or- <br /> ganized for or which is actually engaged in rendering a service which is cus- <br /> tomarily carried on as a business. A read heuse er tavern shall net be een- <br /> strued as a club. <br /> Amend subsection 10.16 (7) (g) to read as follows: <br /> (g) Filling and grading which would result in substantial detriment to navigable <br /> waters by reason of erosion, sedimentation, or impairment of fish or aquatic <br /> life is prohibited. A special exception permit from the Board of Adjustment <br /> shall be required in addition to permits required by state agencies under <br /> the Statutes far any filling er grading of the bed of a navigable beds* e€ <br /> water, for any filling or grading of any area which is within three hundred <br /> (300) feet of a navigable body of water and which has surface drainage toward <br /> the water and on which there is filling_ or grading of more than 1,000 square <br /> feet of area. In passing on a special exception permit, the Board of Adjust- <br /> ment shall evaluate the effect of the proposal on possible water pollution <br /> including erosion and sedimentation, maintenance of safe and healthful condi- <br /> tions. This provision shall not apply to soil conservation practices such <br /> as terraces, run-off diversions, grassed waterways constructed for sediment re- <br /> tardation. <br /> Repeal subsection 10.16 (4) (a). <br /> Renumber subsection 10.16 (4) (b) thru (f) to (a) thru (e) . <br /> Amend subsection 10.25 (2) (f) to read as follows: <br /> (f) Coincident with the issuing of a permit the Zoning Administrator shall pre- <br /> pare a card, cerifying that a permit has been issued. Such card shall bear <br /> the same number as the permit and identify the construction and premises <br /> covered by the permit. Such card shall be posted in a conspicuous place <br /> on the premises during the construction, and no construction shall be be- <br /> gun until such, card has been posted. For purposes of this ordinance, start <br /> of construction shall be when any earth disturbing activity takes place <br /> that will lead to installation of footings, piers, posts, pilings or founda- <br /> tions. Earth disturbing activity for the purpose of soil evaluation or test- <br /> ing shall not be considered start of construction. <br /> Amend subsection 10.25 (3) (a) to read as follows: <br /> (a) Fees for permits for new single family homes and duplex homes shall be com- <br /> puted at the rate of $0.02 for each square foot of floor area including base- <br />
