ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT #1810 <br /> Amending the text of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 10) . <br /> The Dane County Board of Supervisors does ordain as follows: <br /> Repeal the preamble to Chapter 10, Dane County Zoning Ordinance and recreate to read <br /> as follows: <br /> An ordinance, to be known as Chapter 10, Dane County Zoning Ordinance as adopted by the <br /> Dane County Board of Supervisors on July 20, 1938 as amended and including a comprehensive <br /> revision adopted by the Come County Board of Supervisors on May 18, 1950 as amended: for <br /> the purpose or promoting the public health, safety and general welfare by regulating, <br /> restricting and determining the location of trades and industries, the location, height, <br /> bulk, number of stories, and size of buildings and other structures, the percentage of <br /> lot which may be occupied, the size of yards and other open spaces, the density of popu- <br /> lation, the location of buildings designed for specific uses; the areas along natural <br /> water courses, streams and creeks in which trades and industries and the location of <br /> buildings for specific uses may be prohibited; establishing setback lines; and establish- <br /> ing districts of such number, shape and area deemed best suited to carry out the purposes <br /> of this ordinance as it applies to lands outside the- limits of incorporated cities and <br /> villages in Dane County; and providing penalties, pursuant to the authorization of <br /> Sections 59.97, 59.971, 59.99 and 87.30 of. the Wisconsin Statutes. The Dane County <br /> Board of Supervisors do ordain as follows: <br /> Amend 10.01 to read as follows: <br /> 10.01 DEFINITIONS: For the purposes of this ordinance certain terms used herein <br /> are defined as follows: any wards net defined herein shall be eenstrrred as de- <br /> fined in the Wisconsin Building eerie: <br /> Amend subsection 10.01 (4) to read as follows: <br /> (4) Apartment House Complex: A group of apartment houses, located on a single <br /> parcel of land with certain facilities, such as driveways, parking spaces and the <br /> like, common to the buildings in the complex. Apartment house eeaplexes eemprised <br /> of ene hundred or mere units may include a restaurant, greeery stare, drug stare, <br /> persenal serviee shep and the Like fer the eenvenienee of residents in the eemplex. <br /> Repeal subsections 10.01 (5) , (6) , (15) , (16) , (27) , (28) , (29) , (38) , (40) , (62) <br /> and (63) . <br /> Amend subsection 10.01 (18) (b) to read as follows: <br /> (b) Multiple family dwelling, apartment house: a building designed to intended <br /> to be used by more than two families living independently of each other. <br /> Repeal subsection 10.01 (22) and recreate to read as follows: <br /> (22) Home occupation: any occupation for gain or profit conducted only by members <br /> of the family resident upon the premises, provided that no articles may be sold or <br /> offered for sale except those produced on the premises and no article may be dis- <br /> played so as to be visible from the street or highway. A home occupation shall be <br /> accessory or incidental to the residential use of the premises. <br /> Amend subsection 10.01 (32) to read as follows: <br /> (32) Motel: a building containing sleeping rooms for the temporary accomodation. <br /> of tourists and not for permanent occupancy except by the owner of resident oper- <br /> ator. A restaurant; gift shep er,the like may be permitted far the eeeemedatien <br /> of quests. <br />
