Each year the_ Zoning'Supervisor shall notify each sign owner by mail <br /> not less than fifteen days (15) before the expiration date of the annual permit of <br /> its expiration. Upon payment of the annual permit fee, the Zoning Supervisor <br /> shall issue a suitable identification tag to be attached to the sign or sign post <br /> to be visible -from the highway, such tag shall be attached .within 30 days of its <br /> receipt by the sign owner. <br /> (4) . Removal Of certain signs <br /> ' (a) Any sign now or hereafter existing which no longer advertises a bonnf-i.de busi- <br /> ness or a product available shall be removed within thirty (30) days after notifi- <br /> cation by certified mail by.the. Zoning :;upervi.,or to the owner of the. :aign. <br /> (b) Any sign for which the annual permit fee is not paid by the 10th day of:January, <br /> _shall be removed. within thirty _(30) days after notification by certified mail by <br /> the Zoning Supervisor to the owner of the .sign. <br /> (c) If the order for removal of a sign sent to the sign owner is not deliverable by <br /> certified mail, the notice shall be sent by certified mail to the owner of the land <br /> . on which the. sign is located, • <br /> (5) Amortization of non-conforming signs <br /> (a) Any sign now in existence which was installed or erected before June 27, 1962 <br /> and does not conform to the -provisions of this amendment shall be made to conform <br /> to the :provisions of this amendment within one year of the effective date of this <br /> amendment or at the end of one year shall be ordered removed by the Zoning Super- <br /> Visor under procedures outlined in (4) above. <br /> • <br /> (b), Any sign in existence which was installed or erected since June 27, 1962 and <br /> for. which a permit has been issued by the Zoning Supervisor shall be made to conform <br /> to the provisions of this amendment within 3 years of the effective date of .this <br /> amendment or at the end of 3 years shall be ordered removed by the Zoning Supervisor <br /> under procedures outlined in (4) above. <br /> (c) Any sign in existence which was installed or erected since June 2.7, 1962 and for <br /> which a permit has never been issued by the Zoning Supervisor shall be made to con- <br /> form to the provisions of this amendment within 90 days of the effective date of <br /> this amendment or at the end of 90 days shall be ordered removed by the Zoning - <br /> Supervisor under procedures outlined in (4) above. <br /> • <br /> - 46 - <br />
