SECTION 10.47; 10.48; 10.49 <br /> (a) Temporary signs shall be removed not later than 7 days after the last day on which an event occurred. <br /> Political signs for both the primary and general election shall be removed not later than 15 days following <br /> the general election for which they were posted. <br /> (44) Permitted zoning districts <br /> (a) All zoning districts. <br /> • <br /> '10.48 CROP DEMONSTRATION SIGNS <br /> (1) Size of signs <br /> (a) Crop demonstration signs shall not exceed 8 square feet in area. <br /> (2) Location of signs <br /> (a) Crop demonstration signs shall be located on the same premises as the crop used. A separate sign for <br /> each seed or plant variety being grown is permitted. A separate sign for each fertilizer, herbicide, pesti- <br /> cide or insecticide being used is permitted. Signs may designate a variety or brand name and shall not <br /> direct attention to a dealer or place where such products are sold. <br /> (3) Removal of signs <br /> (a) Crop demonstration signs shall be removed not later than 10 days following crop harvest. <br /> (4) Permitted zoning districts <br /> (a) A-1 Agricultural District <br /> (b) RH-1 Rural Homes District <br /> (c) 13-1 Local Business District <br /> (d) C-1 Commercial and Light Manufacturing District <br /> (e) 'C-? Commercial and Light Manufacturing District <br /> (f) M-1 Industrial District <br /> (g) CO-1 Conservancy District <br /> 10.49 GENERAL PROVISIONS AND PERMITS ' <br /> • <br /> ` (1) General provisions <br /> (a) Signs shall not be designed and installed to imitate or simulate any highway marker, signal or traffic <br /> control sign. <br /> (b) Signs shall not have any flashing or rotating lights. <br /> (c) Signs shall not be placed to obscure the vision of any official highway marker, signal or traffic <br /> control sign. <br /> (d) A railroad crossing shall be considered the same as a highway- intersection. <br /> (e) Signs shall not be attached to trees, fence post or fence or utility structures and shall not be painted <br /> on a rock or other natural object. <br /> (f) Signs shall be kept in a good state of repair. <br /> (g) The provisions of this ordinance which define permitted locations of signs along the public roads and <br /> highways are held to be the minimum standards to insure safety on the public roads and highways. <br /> (2) Permits <br /> (a) Permits are required for the installation or erection of advertising signs, billboard, posterboards <br /> and directory signs. <br /> (b) The application for a permit to install or erect a sign shall contain such information as required by <br /> the Zoning Supervisor. <br /> (c) The fee for the erection or installation of advertising signs, billboards, posterboards and directory <br /> Isigns shall be Five Dollars ($5.00) per one hundred (100) square feet or fraction thereof. <br /> (d) On issuance of a permit to erect or install a sign subject to a permit, the Zoning supervisor shall <br /> issue a suitable identification tag to be placed on the sign as to be visible from the highway. <br /> (3) Annual permits <br /> • <br /> (a) All signs for which a permit is required to erect or installed shall be subject to an annual fee and <br /> - 35 - • <br />
