I <br /> SECTION 10.01 <br /> (12) Club: An association for some common purpose, but not including a group organized for or which is actually <br /> engaged in rendering a service which is customarily carried on as a business. A road house or tavern shall not be <br /> construed as a club. <br /> (13) Colony House: A building for the breeding and raising of experimental and laboratory animals, such as white <br /> mice and rats, guinea pigs and the like, and for the storage of feed and accessory materials. <br /> (14) Condominium Apartment: An apartment house in which individual apartments may be offered for sale instead <br /> of for rent. <br /> (15) Definitions: When permitted uses are listed in certain districts and no definition of that use appears in <br /> this section then the dictionary definition or the commonly accetped definition will be applied. <br /> (16) Dumping Grounds: An area owned or designated by a town, or owned by an incorporated municipality, to be <br /> used for the dumping of rubbish, garbage or other waste material, subject to the provisions of Section 60.72 <br /> of the Statutes. <br /> (17) Duplex: A residential building designed to be occupied by two families living independently of each other. <br /> (18) Dwelling: <br /> (a) Single Family Dwelling: A building designed for and occupied exclusively as a residence for one family. <br /> (b) Multiple Family Dwelling: A building designed or intended to be used by more than two families living <br /> independently of each other. <br /> (19) Family: Any number of individuals related by blood or marriage, or not to exceed five (5) persons not so <br /> related, living together on the premises as a single housekeeping unit, -.including any domestic servants. <br /> (20) Garage, Private: An accessory building or accessory portion of the main building, used, or designed or in- <br /> tended to be used for the storage of private motor vehicles belonging to the family or families resident on the <br /> premises, and in which no business, service or industry connected directly or indirectly with motor vehicles <br /> is carried on, and provided that not more than one-half of the space may be rented for private vehicles of per- <br /> sons not resident on the premises, except that all of the space ins garage having a cavity of not more than <br /> two cars may be so rented. Not more than one commercial vehicle may be stored in such garage and such commercial <br /> vehicle shall not exceed two and one-half (2,) tons capacity and must belong to a family or member of a family <br /> resident onthe premises. <br /> (21) Garage, Public: Any building, structure or premises used for the repair, servicing or strage of motor <br /> vehicles for the general public. No building or premises used for the sale, display for sale, of motor vehicles <br /> or trailers, where no repairs or mechanical work is done, shall be considered a.public garage for the purposes <br /> of this ordinance. <br /> (21a) Group Foster Homes: Homes for the mentally retarded which are licensed under Chapter 146.305 (Chapter 323 <br /> Laws of 1973) of the Wisconsin Statutes. <br /> (22) Home Occupation: Any occupation for gain or profit conducted only by members of the family resident upon <br /> the premises, provided that no articles may be sold or offered for sale except those produced on the premises, <br /> and no article may be displayed so as to be visible from the street or highway. Home occupations may include <br /> doctors and dentists, music teachers, weaving, knitting and similar activities, and when approved by the state <br /> board of health, may include barber shops and beauty parlors. The buying and selling of any article will not <br /> be deemed a proper home occupation. <br /> (23) Hotel: A building in which board and lodging are provided to the transient public for compensation. • <br /> (23a) Institutions for children: An institution for the care of children as licensed and authorized by the'xlis- <br /> consin Department of Health and Social Services under Chapter 48, Wisconsin Statutes. <br /> (24) Junk or Salvage: Any item, material or product which is no longer usable as was originally intended. An <br /> automobile; truck or other motor vehicle may be considered for purposes of this ordinance as junk if it is not <br /> currently licensed and has had any of its parts removed or is not in operating condition. <br /> (25) Long House: A building in which lodging accomodations are provided by previous arrangement for definite <br /> periods of time to four (4) or more but not to exceed twelve (12) individuals not members of the family. <br /> (26) Lot: A parcel of land occupied or intended to be occupied by one building and its accessory building <br /> and uses, except as otherwise provided herein. A lot may be a parcel designated in a plat or described in - , <br /> a conveyance recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds. No lands included in any street, highway or <br /> railroad right-of-way shall be included when computing area. <br /> (27) Lot, Corner: A lot located at the intersectim of two streets, any two corners of which form an angle of <br /> one hundred twenty (120) degrees or less, or is bounded by a curved street any two chords of which on the in- <br /> side of the curve form an angle of one hundred twenty (120) degrees or less. <br /> (28) Lot, Interior: A lot which is not a corner lot. <br /> -2- <br />
