<br /> SECTION 10.01; 10.02; 10.03; 10.04
<br /> Section 4. Two (2) new sections of the ordinance hereinabove entitled Chapter 10, Dane County Ordinances, are
<br /> created, to be known as Sections 10.02 and 10.03 to read as follows:
<br /> 110.02 DISTRICTS'
<br /> (1) Creation: For the purpose of prorating the public health, safety and general welfare, by regulating, re-
<br /> stricting and determining the location of trades and industries and the location, height, bulk and number of
<br /> stories, the size of buildings and other structures, and percentage of lot which may be occupied, the size of
<br /> yards and other open spaces, the density of population, the location of buildings designed for specific purposes,
<br /> { and of establishing districts of such number, shape and area as are best suited to carry out the purposes of
<br /> Section 59.97, Wisconsin Statutes, Dane County, outside the limits of incorporated villages and cities, is hereby
<br /> divided into districts as follows: •
<br /> (a) R-1 Residence District
<br /> (b) R-2 Residence District
<br /> (c) R-3 Residence District
<br /> (d) R-3A Residence District
<br /> (e) R-4 Residence District
<br /> (f) RH-1 Residence District
<br /> (g) RE-1 Recreational District
<br /> (h) B-1 Local Business District •
<br /> .(i) A-1 Agricultural District
<br /> (j) C-1 Commercial and Light Manufacturing District
<br /> (k) C-2 Commercial and Light Manufacturing District
<br /> (1) M-1 Industrial District
<br /> (m) CO-1 Conservancy District
<br /> 10.03 ZONING DISTRICT MAPS]
<br /> (1) The location and boundaries of the zoning districts other than the A-1 Agricultural District and the flood
<br /> prone areas (regional flood) are hereby established as shown on maps entitled "Zoning District Maps" on file in
<br /> - the Office of the Zoning Supervisor. The A-1 Agricultural District shall consist of all areas not otherwise
<br /> designated on the "Zoning District Maps". The Zoning Supervisor shall periodically update the "Zoning District
<br /> Maps" to show any changes in the zoning district boundary lines resulting from amendments to the zoning ordi-
<br /> nance, annexations, and changes resulting from city or village extraterritorial zoning provisions. The "Zoning
<br /> - District Maps" together with all information shown thereon and all amendments thereto, shall be as much a part
<br /> of this ordinance as if fully set forth and described herein.
<br /> (2) Location of District Boundaries
<br /> The following rules shall apply with respect to the boundaries of the zoning districts as shown on the zoning
<br /> district maps:
<br /> a. Where zoning district boundary lines are indicated as following streets, highways, roads, or alleys or ex-
<br /> tensions thereof, such boundary lines shall be construed to be the center lines of said streets or alleys or
<br /> extensions; thereof unless clearly shown to the contrary.
<br /> b. Where a dimensioned boundary line coincides approximately but not exactly with a lot line which existed
<br /> on the effective date of incorporation of such boundary line into the zoning map, the said boundary line shall
<br /> be construed to be the said lot line at, that location.
<br /> c. Streets, highways, roads or alleys which are shown on the zoning district maps and which heretofore have
<br /> been vacated, or which may be vacated hereafter, shall be in the same zoning district as the lots, pieces, or
<br /> parcels abutting both sides of the street, highway, road or alley involved. If the lots, pieces or parcels
<br /> abutting each side of the street, highway, road or alley were located in different zoning districts before the
<br /> said street or alley was vacated, the center line of such vacated street or alley shall be the boundary line
<br /> of the respective zoning districts. '
<br /> d. Where any uncertainty exists as to the exact location of zoning district boundary lines, the Board of
<br /> Adjustment, upon written application, shall determine the location of such boundary lines.
<br /> e. Where any uncertainty exists as to the location and boundary of the flood prone areas (Regional Flood) the
<br /> flood profile elevation shall govern.
<br /> Section 5. Sections III, IV, V, VI, VII and VIII of the ordinance of July 20, 1938, the title to which is recited
<br /> in the title to`this ordinance, are hereby repealed.
<br /> Section 6, Thirteen new sections of the ordinance hereinabove numbered to be Chapter 10, Dane County Ordinances,
<br /> are created, to be ,known and numbered as Sections 10.04 to 10.16 inclusive, to read as follows:
