ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT #2617 <br /> The Dane County.Board of Supervisors does ordain as follows: <br /> That Chapter 11 of the Dane County Code of Ordinances be created to read as follows: <br /> 11.01 Title: This Chapter may be cited as the Dane County Shoreland and Flood Plain <br /> management Ordinance. <br /> 11.02 Authority: This shoreland protection section'is adopted pursuant to the authoriza- <br /> tion .found in ss 59.07 (51) , 59.97, 59.971, 87.30 and 144.26 Wis. Stats. <br /> 11.03 Legislative Finding: The County Board does find that the uncontrolled use of the <br /> shorelands and pollution of the navigable waters of Dane County adversely affect <br /> the public health, safety, convenience, and general welfare and impair the tax base. <br /> The Legislature of Wisconsin has delegated responsibility to the Counties to further <br /> the maintenance of safe and healthful conditions; prevent and control water pollu- <br /> tion; protect spawning grounds, fish and aquatic life; control building sites, place- <br /> ment of structures and land uses; and preserve shore cover and natural beauty, and <br /> this responsibility is hereby recognized by Dane County. <br /> 11.04 Statement of Purpose: For the purpose of promoting and protecting the public health, <br /> safety, convenience and general welfare to: prevent and control water pollution; <br /> protect fish spawning grounds, fish and aquatic life, control building sites, place- <br /> ment of structures, preserve shore cover and natural beauty. <br /> Renumber s 10.16 (7) (a) thru (h) to s 11.05 (a) thru (h) . <br /> Amend s 11.05 (b) to read as follows: <br /> (b) Lot area, width and density requisites for lots located in shoreland areas shall not <br /> be less than those required in Section 10.05 (4) and (5) R-1 Residence District, <br /> Section 10.16 (3) General Provisions and Exceptions, of Chapter 10 of the Dane County <br /> Code of Ordinances. <br /> Renumber s 10.50 thru s 10.59 to s 11.06 thru s 11.16. <br /> Amend all numerical references to the new chapter number. <br /> EFFECTIVE: FEB 16 1931 <br />
