(10) OFFICIALLY MAPPED AREAS <br /> (a) No zoning permit shall be issued under this chapter for any lands lying with- <br /> in any officially mapped area of Dane County unless the proper permit from the <br /> appropriate city or village shall have been first obtained. <br /> (b) Every applicant for the issuance of any permit required under this chapter shall <br /> state in writing that he or she has made diligent inquiry of the applicability <br /> of any official map to the applicants lands; that no such official map is appli- <br /> cable, or if such map is applicable the approval ofthe appropriate city or vil- <br /> lage has been obtained; that the applicant understands the possible adverse con- <br /> sequences of erecting structure within an officially mapped area without the pro- <br /> per approval of the city or village involved; and that the applicant has not re- <br /> lied upon any statements of county employees in giving such written assurances. <br /> (c) If an applicant seeks a zoning permit for lands located within an officially <br /> mapped area, a zoning permit may be issued only after a permit from the appro- <br /> priate city or village has been issued under section 62.23 (6) (d) of the Wis- <br /> consin Statutes. <br /> (d) Any zoning permit issued under this chapter shall be void if applicable to lands <br /> located within an officially mapped area for which the applicant has not obtained <br /> the proper permit from the appropriate city or village. In the event of an error <br /> in any application or any misstatement in any application, the Zoning Administrator <br /> shall issue stop work orders if the Administrator discovers any official map to <br /> be applicable to the lands in question. <br /> - 45 - <br />
