Structural Alterations: Aazy chango in the supporting members of a building <br />such as bearing walls, columns, posts, boams or girders: <br />ir Temporary'Structures: A movable structure not designed for human occupancy <br />nor for the protection of goods or chattels and not forming an enclosure. <br />Tourist Camp: Any tract or parcel of land upon which two (2) or more camp <br />cottages are located or whoro temporary accomodations are provided for two (2) <br />or more automobile trailers, tents or house cars, open to the public either free <br />or for a fee. <br />Lot: A -parcel,of land which is or may be occupied by a building and its <br />accessory buildings or uses custoi -mrily incidental thereto, together with such <br />yards or open spaces as may be required by this ordinance. <br />Yard, Side: A<i open unoccupied space extending from the front ' lot -lino to <br />the roar lot line. <br />SECTION II - DISTRICTS <br />For the purpose of promoting the public health, safety and general welfare, <br />the County of Dane, outside the limits of incorporated villages and cities, is <br />hereby divided into six (6) Districts known as: <br />Residence District "A" <br />Rcsidonce District "B" <br />Agricultural District <br />Conunorcial District <br />Service District <br />Industrial District <br />The boundaries of the aforosaid six (6) districts are shown upon the map of <br />Dano County, attached horcto, being designated as the "Zoning Map of Dane County, <br />Wisconsin, dated 193 , and trade a part of,this ordinance. <br />All notations, re�'orences andother t =gs shown upon the said- "Zoning Map ", <br />shall be as much'a part of this ordinance as if.the matter and things sot forth <br />by the' said map wero fully described heroin. <br />No building, structure or promises shall be erected, structurally altered or <br />used for a purpose other than is permitted by this ordinance in the District in <br />which such building, structure or promises is located. <br />No lot area`shall be so reduced or dimished that yards or other open spaces <br />shall be smaller than may be prescribed by this ordinance nor shall the density <br />of population be increased in any mar_r_er except in conformity to the regulations <br />herein established. <br />No building or structure shall hereafter be erected or structurally altered <br />adjacent to any lake or stroam unless it be so situated that the basement floor <br />shall be above the high water mark. <br />No building or structure located within one mile of the boundaries of any <br />airport, emergency landing field or landing basin shall hereafter be erected or <br />structurally altered to a height which is greater than one -cigth (1/8) of the <br />distance between �ny boundary line of such airport, emergency landing field or <br />lsuiding "basin and the nearest part of such building and structure; provided, <br />further, that no overhead power, telephone or telegraph -linos shall be erected <br />within one -half (2) mile of any boundary of any airport, omergency landing field <br />or landing basin.. ' <br />SECTION III - RESIDENCE DISTRICT "A" REGULATIONS <br />Use <br />In the Residence District "A" no'buildin g or promises shall be used and <br />no building shall hereafter be erocted or structurally altered, unlcss,othoririse <br />provided in this ordinance, except for one or more of the following specified <br />uses: <br />1: Accessory Buildings <br />2: Comoteries <br />3. Churches, Schools and Colleges <br />4: Educational, Philathropic & Eleemosynary Institutions <br />5•Gardoiz.3'.-nJ and Fariling; except poultry, fur and stock <br />farms ,id farms operated for the disposal of <br />soti =rage, rubbish_ or offal <br />6.
