Structural Alterations: Any cha_zgo in the supporting members of a building <br />/ such as bearing TTalls, columr_s, posts, beans c)r girders: <br />Temporary Structures: A n:ovablc structure not designed for human occupancy <br />nor for 'the protccti on of goods or chattels and not forming an enclosure. <br />Touri�s Camp: y tract or parcel of land upon which two (2) or more camp <br />rc.ocLagcs afire located° r whore temporary accomodatio_is are nrovidod for two (2.) <br />or more tiu omob'iho' tailors, tents or house cars, open to the public either free <br />o7 i'or a fee. <br />Lot: A parcel of land which is or may be occupied by a building and, its <br />accessory buildings or -uses customarily incidental thereto, together with such <br />yards or open spaces as may be required by this ordinance. <br />Yard, Side: An open unoccupied space extending from the front let line to <br />the roar lot line. <br />SECTION II - DISTRICTS <br />For the purpose'of promoting the public health, safety and general welfare, <br />the County of Dane, outside the limits of incorporated villages and cities, is <br />hereby divided into six (6) Districts known as: <br />Residence District "A" <br />Residence District "B"- <br />Agricultural District <br />Coramorcial District <br />Service District <br />Industrial District <br />The boundaries of the aforesaid six (6) districts are shown upon the map of <br />Dane County, attached hereto, being dosignated as the "Zoning Map of Dane County, <br />Wis.c a7sin, dated 193 , and made a part of this ordinance. <br />All notations, refcronces andetlher tY-71ngs shown upon the said "Zoning Map" <br />shall be as much 'a part of this ordinance as if the mattor and things sot forth <br />by the said map were fully described herein. <br />No building, structure or premises shall be eroctod, structurally altered or <br />used for a purpose other than is permitted by this ordinance in the District in <br />which such building, structure or promp.sos is located. <br />No lot area:�pshall be so roduced or dimished that yards or other open spaces <br />shall be smaller than may be proscribed by this ordinance nor shall the density <br />of population be increased in any manner except in conformity to the regulations <br />herein established. <br />No building or structure shall hereafter be erected or structurally altered <br />adjacent to any lake or stroam unless it be so situated that the basement floor <br />shall be above the high ,,rater nark. <br />No building or structure located within one mile of the boundaries of any <br />airport, emergency landing field or landing basin shall hereafter be erccted.or <br />structurally altered to a height which.'is greater than ono -cigth (1/8) of the <br />distance between i%ny boundary line of such airport, emergency landing field or <br />landing -'basin and the nearest part of such building and structure; provided, <br />further, that no overhead power, telephone or telegraph lines shall be eroctod <br />within one -half (�) mile of any boundary of any airport, emergency landing field <br />or landing basin. <br />SECTION III RESIDENCE DISTRICT "A" REGi L21TI OITS <br />Use <br />In the Residence District "A" no building or promises shall be used and <br />no building shall horeafter be erected or structurally altered, unless otherwise <br />provided in this ordinance, except for one or more of the following specified <br />uses: <br />1. Accessory Buildings <br />2. Cometerics <br />3. Churches, Schools and Colleges <br />4: Educational, Philathropic & Eleornosynary Institutions <br />5.Garclenang and Farming; except poultry, fur and stock <br />farms and farms oporatod for the disposal of <br />sewage, rubbish or offal <br />6, Home Qccupations <br />7. Libraries and Musomis <br />8. Hursorics and Grocnhouses <br />-2- <br />
