TENTATIVE ZONIN ORDINANCE DA HE COUNTY, �' TS C ONS IN Asconsin Stat Pia`?ni �g :card A Zoning Ordinance enacted pursuant to the provisions of Sections 59.97 and 5909 of the statutes and providing penalties for the violation of its provisions. The Board of Supervisors of Dane County does ordain_ as follows: SECTION I. DEFINITIONS For the purposes of this ordinance, certain words and terms are defined as follows: Words used in the present tense include the future, words in the singular number include the plural number and words in the plural number include the singular number; the word "building" includes the word "structure ", the word "shall" is mandatory and not directory. Accessory Building: A supplemental building or portions of the main building, the use of which is incidental to the main building. Boarding house: A building other than a hotel where meals are sold, pursuant to previous arrangement and not to anyone who may apply, for five--(5) or more persons not members of the family. 3uildii�g: AMything constructed and designed to stand more or less permanently _.nd oecl753 ng a space of land. When a building is separated by divisions walls, witlout openings, from the ground up, each portion.of such building shall be deemed a separate building. Family: Several individuals living togother and cooking on the premises as a single housekeeping unit, together with all necessary employees of the family. Garage, Public: A building or poPtion thereof used for the housing or care of more than three (3) self - propelled vehicles or where any such vehicles are equipped or repaired for remuneration or kept for hire. Non- conforming Use: -A building or premises occupied by a use that does not conform to the regulations of the district in which it is located. Setback Lines: Linos established adjacent to highways for the purpose of defining limits within which no building or structure or any part thereof shall bo, erected or permanontly ra.intainod.
