The board,of adjustmont shall have the following powers: a. To hear and decide appeals whore it is alloEod there is an error in any order, - requirement, decision or doterminition made by an-administrative official. b. To hear and decide special exonptions to -the terms of this ordinance. c. Where thero are practical difficulties or un_necoosary hardships in the way of carrying.out the strict letter of this ordinance, the board of adjustment shall have the powery in passing. upon appeals, to authorize such variance from the, terms of this ordinance as-will not be contrary to tho public interest and so that the - intent bf the ordiance shall be observed and substantial justica done, provided, however, that no such variance- shall have the*offect of allowing, in any district; uses prohibited in that district. d. Grant a permit for a temporary building for commerce or industry in a district which is incidental to the residential developomont but no such permit shall by grantodd .for• a period of more than one l):year. o. Grant,a permit for the erection and use of a building'or premises in any local . tion to a public service corporation or for a public utility purpose ..which the board finds reasonable necessary for the public convenionce, safety or welfare. v f. To grant a permit 'for the location_ of "an otherwise hazardous or noxious or offensive use in tho Industrial District when, in the opinion of the Board, the' hazards attendant on such use are iolovod by reason of its proposed location. SECTION XV - CBANGES AND MENDN1EM The County Board of Supervisors of Dane County, Wisconsin, may, -from time to time, alter, supplement or change the boundaries and regulations contair_od in this - ordinance in,the manner provided by law. SECTION XVI - VIOLATION AND PENALTY The provisions of this ordinance shall bo*onforood by or under the direction of the county board of supervisors. My person, firm, association or corporation who violatos, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to conply with or resists the onforcolont of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a -fine of not loss than ten ($10.00) Qollars, nor more than two hundred ($200100) dollars, togothor with the costs of the action, or by imprisonment in the county jail of Dano County for a term-of not more than thirty (30) days and every day of violation shall constitute a soparato offense. Compliance therewith may also be enforced by injuctional order at the suit of the county or the owner or owners of real estate,within the district affected by the regulation of this ordinance. SECTION XVII - SAVING CLAUSE The several terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be doomod severable, and-if any pr6vision of thie ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is hold invalid, the remainder of the ordinance and the, application of such provision to other persons and circumstances shall not be affected theroby. SECTION XVIII - REPEAL OF-CONFLICTING ORDINANCES All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the terms of.this ordinance are hereby ropealod. SECTION XIX - EFFECTIVE DATE ,,This ordinance shall boeor..o effective immediately on publication.' -8-
