Lot: A parcel of land which is'or may be occupied by a building and its accessory buildings or uses custo_-aZrily incidental thereto, together with such yards or open spaces as,iva.y be required by this ordinance. Yard, Side: An open unoccupied space extending from the front let line to the rear lot line. SECTION II - DISTRICTS For' the purpose of promoting tho public health, safety and general welfare, the County of Dano, outsido tho limits of incorporated villages and cities, is hereby divided into six (6) Districts known as: Rosidenco District "A" Rosidonco District "B" Agricultural District Corsumrcial District Service District Industrial District The boundaries of the aforesaid six (6) districts are sho,m upon the map of Do-no County, attached horcto, being designated as_tho "Zoning Map of Dane County, Wisconsin, dated 193 , and made a part of this ordinance. All notations, references aiici other things sho-mn upon the said "Zoning Map" shall be as much'a part of this ordinance as if tho matter and things sot forth by the said map wore fully described herein. No building, structure or premises shall be erected, structurally altered or used for a purpose other than is permitted by this ordinance in the District in which such building, structuro or promises is located. No lot area`shall be so reduced or dimished that yards or other open spaces shall be smaller than may be prescribed by this ordinance nor shall the density of population be iricreasod in any maizr_or except in conformity to the regulations herein established. No building or structure shall hereafter be erected or structurally altered adjacent to any lake or stream unless it be so situated that the basement floor shall be above the high t-rator mark. No building or structure locatod within ono mile of the boundaries of any airport, emergency landing field or landing basin shall hereafter be erected or structurally altered to a height iuliich. is greater than ono-oigth (1/8) of the distance botwoen 6Lny boundary lino of such LLirport, emergency landing field or landing-basin and the nearest part of such building and structure; provided, further, that no overhead power, telephone or telegraph -lincs shall be erected within one -half (2) }Wile of any boundary of any airport, omcrgency landing field or landing basin. SECTION III - RESIDEiTCE DISTRICT REM21TIONS Use In the Residenco District "A" no building or promises shall be used and no building shall hereafter be erected or structurally altered, unless othox -miso provided in this ordinance, except for one or snore of the following specified uses: 1. Accessory Buildings 2. Cometerics 3. Cl.urchos, Schools and Colleges 4. Educational, Philathropic & Elooraosyn.ary Institutions 5.Gairueni: %r, and Farming; oxcopt poultry, fur and stock farms aiZd farms opora-cod for the disposal of sowage, rubbish or offal. 6, Home Occupations 7.
