The board of adjustment shall have the -follow.-n- powers: a. To hear and deckle appeals z °.horo it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision or doterminc:tien made by ,x., administrative official. b. To hear and decide special exemptions to the t ,-rms of this ordinance. c. Where there are practical difficulties or un-noce„sary hardships in the way of .carrying out the strict letter of this' ordinance; the board of adjustment shall have the power; in passing upon appeals, to authorize such variance from the terms - of this ordinance as will not be contrary to the public interest and so that the intent of the ordiance- shall be observed and subttar_tial justice done, provided, however, that no such variance- shall have the effect of allowing, in any district, uses prohibited in that district. d. Grant a permit for a temporary building for commerce or industry in a district which is incidental to the residentaal devolopomont but no such permit shall be grantodd fora period of more than one (I Y-Year. o. Grant a permit for the erection mad use of a building or premises in any loca- tion to a public service corporation or for a public utility purpose ; . which the board finds reasonable necessary fo:' the public convenience' safety or welfare. f. To grant a permit for the location of an otherwise hazardous or noxious or offensive use in the Industrial District when, in the opinion of the Board, the hazards attendant on such use are removed by reason of its proposed location. SECTION XV o CHAATGES AND AP,: 101JENTt The County Board of Supervisors of Dane County, Wisconsin, may, from time to time; alter, supplement or change the boundaries and regulations contained in this ordinance in.the manner provided by law. SECTION XVI - VIOLATION 12ND PEMU,TT The provisions of this ordinance shall be onforood by or under- the direction of the county board of supervisors. 'ny person, firm, association or corporation who violates, disobeys; omits, nog octs or refuses to comply with or resists the enforcotont of any of the provisions of this ordi��ance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of r_ot loss than ten ($10.00) dollars, nor more than two hundred ($200.00) dollars, together with the costs of the action, or by imprisonment in the county jail of Dane County for a term of not more than thirty (30) days and every day of violation shall constitute a separate offense. Compliance therewith may also be enforced by injuctional order at the suit of the county or the owner or ormors of real estate within the district affected by the regulation of this ordinance. SECTION XVII - SAVING CLAUSE The several terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed severable, and if any provision.of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is hold invalid, the remainder of the ordinance and the application of such provision to other persons and circumstances shall not be affected thereby. SECTION XVIII - REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINUTCES All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION XIX - EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall becomo effective immediately on publication. MM
