Section 10.155 CO-1 Conservancy District <br /> Section 10.16 .. General Provisions <br /> (d) The harvesting of any wild crops such as marsh hay, ferns, moss, berries, tree fruits and <br /> tree seeds. <br /> (e) Grazing. <br /> (f) Dams and hydro-electric power stations. <br /> (g) Communication and power transmission lines or towers; other public utiility lines or <br /> facilities. <br /> (li) If the land is publicly owned, such facilities as the owning or controlling agency shall !- <br /> direct, including without lirrlitation because of enumeration, camping, boat landings, sale of bait, <br /> boat and motor rental, sale of gasoline for boats, refre sliment facilities and the like. <br /> (i) If the land is privately owned, those facilities listed in( h) hereof, provided that the <br /> zoning committee, after public hearing, shall determine that such facilities are in the public <br /> interest and the proposed location is suitable. <br /> (j) Non-residential buildings or structures accessory to any permitted use. <br /> (k) E'.esidential or housing facilities for persons employed on the premises. <br /> (1) Improvement of water courses and bodies of water. <br /> (2) Uses Prohibited: <br /> (a) If the land is privately owned, any filling of marsh land, removal of t co soil or damming 1 <br /> of any water course unless approved by the zoning committee after public hearing. <br /> 1 <br /> 10.16 GENERAL PROVISIONS AND EXCEPTIONS <br /> (1) Use; <br /> (a) Except as otherwise expressly provided, any use listed as a permitted use in any district <br /> shall be construed as a prohibited use ifi a more restricted district. <br /> (b) The following uses shall be permitted in the districts specified when such uses do not <br /> alter the character of the premises in respect to their use for the purposes permitted in such <br /> district: <br /> 1. In any district, real estate offices and signs advertising property for sale, for a period n:t <br /> to exceed one year. <br /> 2. In nny district, temporary buildings and the temporary storage of materials and equipment <br /> incidental to the construction of buildings on the premises, for a period not to exceed one year. <br /> 3. In the PEI-1 and R-1 Districts, separate accessory buildings may be used for the housing <br /> of servants or the accomodation of guests of the owner or occupant. <br /> 4. In any district, where lands are used for farm and garden purposes, separate accessory <br /> buildings may he used for the regular or temporary housing of farm labor, or a separate building 1= <br /> may be provided for the family of a farm manager or laborer. <br /> 88 <br />
