SECTION 10.01 <br /> municipality, to be used for the dumping of rubbish, .garbage or other waste <br /> material, subject to the provisions of Section 60.72 of the statutes. <br /> (17) Duplex: A residential building designed to be occupied by two families <br /> living independently of each other. <br /> (18) Dwelling: <br /> (a) Single Family Dwelling: A building designed for and occupied exclusively <br /> as a residence for one family. <br /> (b) Multiple Family Dwelling: A building designed or intended to be used by <br /> more than two families living independently of each other. <br /> (19) Family: Any number of individuals related by blood or marriage, or not to <br /> exceed five (5) persons not so related, living together on the premises as a <br /> single housekeeping unit, including any domestic servants. <br /> (20) Garage, Private: An accessory building or accessory portion of the main <br /> building, used, or designed or intended to be used for the storage of private <br /> motor vehicles belonging to the family or families resident on the premises, <br /> and in which no business, service or industry connected directly or indirectly <br /> with motor vehicles is carried on, and provided that not more than one-half <br /> of the space may be rented for private vehicles of persons not resident on <br /> the premises, except that all of the space in a garage having a capacity of <br /> not more than two cars may be so rented. Not more than one commercial vehicle <br /> may be stored in such garage and such commercial vehicle shall not exceed two <br /> and one-half (21 ) tons capacity and must belong to a family or member of a <br /> family resident on the premises. <br /> (21) Garage, Public: Any building, structure or premises used for the repair, <br /> servicing or storage of motor vehicles for the general public. No building or <br /> premises used for the sale, display for sale, of motor vehicles or trailers, <br /> where no repairs or mechanical work is done, shall be considered a public <br /> garage for the purposes of this ordinance. <br /> (22) Home Occupation: Any occupation for gain or profit conducted only by members <br /> of the family resident upon the premises, provided that no articles may be <br /> sold or offered for sale except those produced on the premises, and no article <br /> may be displayed so as to be visible from the street or highway. Home oc- <br /> cupations may include doctors and dentists, music teachers, weaving, knitting <br /> and similar activities, and when approved by the state board of health, may <br /> include barber shops and beauty parlors. The buying and selling of any <br /> article will not be deemed a proper home occupation. <br /> (23) Hotel: A building in which board and lodging are provided to the transient <br /> public for compensation. <br /> (24) Junk or salvage: Any item, material or product which is no longer usable as <br /> was originally intended. An automobile, truck or other motor vehicle may be <br /> considered for purposes of this ordinance as junk if it is not currently licensed <br /> and has had any of its parts removed or is not in operating condition. <br /> (25) Lodging House: A building in which lodging accomodations are provided by <br /> previous arrangement for definite periods of time to four (4) or more but not <br /> - 3 - <br />
